THE VICTORIAN SOCIETY in America, New England Chapter offers a Day Trip to tour Beverly Historical Society houses associated with two distinguished New England Families: the Cabots and the Hales.
We will tour the John Cabot House (1781) which was the town's first brick mansion and now encompasses BHS collections. Next we will tour the John Hale House (1694, with later additions), home to the famlly whose members include Revolutionary War hero Nathan Hale and Boston theologian and author Edward Everett Hale. After our house tours, there is an option of dining together at a local pub or on your own at a Cabot Street restaurant.
Tour Meets at the Beverly Historical Society, 117 Cabot Street at 11:15 AM.

Getting There - We recommend the MBTA Commuter Rail, via the 10:15am Newburyport / Rockport train from North Station. The Beverly Train Station is a ten minute walk from the Beverly Depot to the Beverly Historical Society; meet us at the Beverly Historical Society, 117 Cabot Street, at 11:15am. Trains return to Boston at 2:36pm and 3:20pm.
